My first knife and first post!

Made from 1/8" 1095 steel. Scandi grind. brine quenched and tempered at 400 for 2 cycles. The scales are red oak.

Thanks for all the kind words. My first blank cracked badly due to uneven heating and plain water quench. It was kind of devastating but I just started over. It took quite awhile without a belt sander.

Get some fast quench oil, or get a couple gallons of canola oil. Water/brine are bound to crack blades. Fot knife thickness even W2 will harden fine in canola, and will get max hard in Parks #50.
