Great job on the patina. The pattern is very nice.

I changed my grips to the micarta and wish I could have found some G10, but personal preference.I will get around to buying a new sheath. The factory one would be perfedtly fine if it were 5 centimeters shorter.
The sheath maker that is local to you looks like he does a good job. The slots are both practical and cool looking... and if you have the choice of looking cool or not, and it doesn't reduce practicality, then look cool doing it. The slots let you attach straps to the sheath for mounting to a pack or to mount a pouch.

Good choice in knife.

That model is one of those designs that does all sorts of cutting tasks...and does them well.

I also have found that the factory sheath is actually quite nice. I use a Kydex aftermarket sheath for mine now, but have no issues with the stock one.

I use the stock one for a Mora filet knife now. It fits great and both snaps work.
