The first knife that I had ever made just came home for a visit. The person that I gave it to as a gift (made for xmass 1997) saw my latest knife, and that I've got a logo to etch and stuff now and returned it to me asking that I put my name and logo on the blade for him =)

Now I can get some real pictures of it too. It was just a small skinner neck knife made from an old Nicholson file, but I'm glad that not only did he still have it, but he said he uses it a ton, mostly for boxes and cutting cloth and stuff at his work, and that he said it holds the best edge of any knife he's owned.

I'll get some pictures soon, I need to clean up some gunk on the blade from cutting through tape and stuff, and I'll get before and after etch pictures of it =)

The handle is holding up well too for just being cord wrapped, with un-treated para-cord.

That's cool! Glad to hear it's being used.

I checked up on the last one I sold, and it hasn't cut a darn thing since I tested it. The owner likes it but he said he's "saving" it for hunting season. What the dickens?!? I told him, it's a tool not a conversation piece, use the darn thing! I'll sharpen it for free or fix/replace it if it breaks or something!

Is this normal or am I just weird?

Both. People don't want to break something like that, even though it's guaranteed not to. And, you're just weird.

Justin, It's kinda neat to visit with one of your "children" isn't it?
Mace

P.S.
James, I'm not sure "weird" would be accurate...
