So I've pretty much got most of the things sorted except for the billet which should arrive soon and I've wondered if you could all very kindly give me some feedback on my design.

I am thinking of doing a Scandinavian grind. Please let me know what you think. Thanks for your help :)

Looks great. Two minor adjustments I would make is bringing the grind back as far as you can and lower the tip. The area right in front of the fingerguard is where you have maximum strength when carving wood. Giving the knife a drop point will make the tip stronger and gives the blade a more harmonious look.

Overall, it looks pretty good.

Make the handle belly much less pregnant. You could probably make the finger rest area a little deeper when doing the belly thinning.
Drop the tip about 3 grid boxes and make the spine a continuous curve into the handle.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! :)

I'll go ahead and make the adjustments. One thing I was not too sure about was the use of scandi grind. Would that make the edge too thin or with 5mm blank thickness would the tip be sufficiently supported? The knife is going to be used for bushcrafting mainly.

Thanks for your help again everyone! :)

The thread title says why a Scandi grind is a bad idea. This is your first knife...and you will have issues enough without a Scandi grind as well.

Do a FFG and you will be happier. If you really like the center grind line, do a Saber grind, which looks like a Scandi, but has a small secondary bevel.
