Good looking knife. Need more photos ... Half of sales is the SIZZLE

MMmmm... I like the muted earth tones and the half round jimping. Where did you get the G10? My only critique would be to trim down the neck of the kydex sheath, perhaps midway between the first bolt and the ricasso at the apex of the index finger groove. The rest of the sheath looks professional. Good work!

Might also switch up the fasteners on the sheath to hex heads that echo the knife's handle bolts.

Nice looking knife overall. And hey, you sold it so it really doesn't matter what anyone other than the customer thinks at this point!!! :)

But since you did ask, I would work harder at rounding the scales. They look blocky and I bet they feel the same way. It s a common occurrence with newbies and a lot of experienced makers/manufacturers as well.

Keep up the good work, this knife shows you do have some skills!

BTW, where did you get 5/32 1084 at?

I really like it. Looks like it would make a good edc carry, scout style. I do agree with MudBug though about rounding the scales more.

The rearmost jimp groove that has scales covering it, looks like a place for gunk and goo to accumulate and be hard to wash.

Looks good. Congrats on the sale, but since you asked... I would try to make sure the texturing on your grips in the future is squared up with the blade.
You do the parkerizing or send it out? I like parkerized blades, and it looks like a real user. Congrats again. And rememeber, we are the pickiest of the picky, so we will always have something to say. Looks good. Nice sheath.

Hey thanks for the suggestions, I like constructive comments. 1...the 5/32 1084 came from Aldo. 2...I do my own Parkerizing, been doing it on gun stuff for 20 years. 3....The Dark earth G10 textured I got from a friend knife maker, he had to order BIG sheets to get the size and color. 4....I use a router bolted to a custom table I made to do the chamfer on the scales, I use a 45 degree bit, I might try a rounding bit or adjust the 45 bit a little higher, it might look a little blocky but you can really hold on to it. 5.....good call on the squaring up the grips, that’s simple enough to do, just have to pay attention more. 6...... and the sheath I know I need more time at the kydex press, the first couple I made were terrible and ended up in file 13. Im in a military town and most of my knifes will be going to those utilitarian kind of customers that are use to a professional product that’s a little ruff around the edges but still has a custom touch.... Thanks keep the comments coming, you guys are the experts.....

I think it looks really nice and don't mind the blocky scales, but I do think the last groove on the jimping is set too far back. The color combination is a real winner.

You have made a good looking knife that will work well in the field. However, if you had to use it much the handle would really chew up you hand. Sure it's grippy but it is not comfortable. Round out the top and bottom edges of the scales. It will require more learning , but from what you have done so soon after just getting started it won't demand a lot. I assure you, it will help get you more sales and possibly even get you more money for each one you sell. Lots more sales !! Frank
