I said to myself I wasn't going to do this, but then, thought "WTH? I'm proud I was able to make this."

I learned SO MUCH in doing this. I'm assembling the equipment needed to begin doing more forging. I look at this knife and can find a laundry list of things I did wrong, but that being said, I'm proud that I was able to complete it.

Thought to myself, "Now where have I seen this before?"

Looks like a solid common-sense start. First knife = Special always.

So go build a sheath already and put it to work - at least once!

Congrats Stewart!

Well, Andy, Lord knows you've seen enough of it through this process! lol. I should add thanks to Dan Graves and Andy, as they both helped me in getting this started and provided advice and guidance through the process.

Whatever you do hoss, keep it. Don't let it get away. Mark it or in some way distinguish it as NUMBER ONE. Then........... as the years roll by, you can pull it out and have a way to measure how far you have come.

They only get better from here, but that first one will always be "Special".

Keep up the good work.

Robert

Now that is one fine knife. I like the way it turned out, the cord wrap, finger choil and blade shape. Bet it is comfortable. I agree with Robert. There is only one first one. Great job now lets see more.

Thanks, Dan. THere'll be more. Trying to get things put together at the house for forging. Hoping to have some things ready to bring to the spring hammer-in.
