Hello,
a few years ago, I made a knife from a stock Leuku blade, this time, I wanted to make everything by myself (except hardening, wich did Rodrigo from 2Gknives).

Blade made of 01, convex ground, little dropped spine, 5mm stock, 10cm long with recasso
German Silver guard and european stag scales (with lot of pores I didn't see at the beginning).

Man very nice first knife. A lot to be proud of. I just posted my first also. I could really get into this. Great job.

Thank you guys for your kind words!
These words are really motivating :) The next one will be
or a Scagel type bitd & trout
or a lighter version of the knife shown here (thinner stock, shorter blade, lighter handle material)

I was a little disapointed about the pores that show up in the stag.

Do you have an idea how to dye the stag to a reddish -yellow ?

I kind of like the white of the handle, particularly with the polished blade.

Use an amber analine dye. I get mine from Lee Valley, but there are many places to get it.

I agree with everyone else. Nice knife.
Looks like you have a lot of potential. I hope you keep at it.
and don't forget to keep posting photos.

Hello,
I managed to dye the stag to a light, old ivory like, yellow.
I put the handle in a glass of water for a 10 minutes, where I boiled onion skin before, with a little vinegar.
