My first knife

You can see at a steep angle down the plane of the ricasso making a mirror-like reflection causing the appearance of a gap but its not.

Just saying. Carry on.

Oh, I see what people are talking about know. :o You're right about it looking like that because of the reflection at that angle. I'll have to watch out for that in the future.

I'm pretty close to finishing up my next two. They won't be sharpened until after I make sheaths but otherwise they are pretty close to done.

This one is my attempt at a little edc.

This design came about when I was trying to figure out how large of a blade I can fit on a fairly compact handle. I think that the answer to that question is less blade than I have here. :p

I don't know about anyone else but that looks great to me.

Don't be too hard to yourself, it's agreat piece of work. almost fall in love with it at the first sight:) stunning job.

I finished up another one. I have a few more that just need to be cleaned up and sharpened but they are pretty oddly shaped and I'm not at all happy with them. :( The good news is that I have a much better idea of what to shoot for on my next knives. :)

That one is a really nice one too. I really like the lines and would be proud to make that or buy it and use it. The handle shape looks really comfortable and nicely shaped. The cocobolo is a nice touch too.

Keep 'em coming.

Another great looking knife. Shape seems OK to me but I would make one suggestion. If it were a knife for me I would want the handle to be a little bigger, seems slightly too small for the blade size. A "fatter" handle would, I think, offer a better grip. Other than that, feel free to put it in a box and send it to me. :)

What Gaj said. Still a real beauty, though, and a whole lot nicer thn anything I ever made (which isn't saying much).

I can't believe that's your first one, it is awesome! Keep on doing this, you got talent there!

You did a great job on that one. You should see the first one I made.:D Took me 17 hours just to profile it. I think about a month to finnish. All that work and it was still ugly LOL. Good luck on your next one.

I know my first or next bunch were not near as nice as that one. It's a well made knife no matter it's your first completed one !!! Good for you !!! Frank

Thanks guys. :D

I thought about making an etcher but I'm pretty worthless when it comes to anything electrical so I'll probably buy a machine when I can get the money together. I've already ordered a stencil from Ernie Grospitch who was very nice to deal with.
