My first knife!

As a knife collector i can say it looks as though you have been practicing knife making for a number of years. I would find it hard to believe this is your first knife, but i must take your word for it and say damn thats a hell of a first knife! You will go far with the skill and attention to detail you have put forth into this knife if you put the same into the rest of your knives. It is great for any that knife that looks that good let alone a first. you will go far in the knife community with that kind of detail trust me!

Justin

Thanks for the encouraging words, Justin. This is definitely my first knife! I guess there's no way to prove it (I guess you can ask my wife as well, if you want :) )

oh i believe, its just hard to believe, with some of the junk people put out and they dont seem to care about angles of the blade or symmetry of scales or sheath fit stitch and cleanliness and end up putting out ugly uninspired knives. but you seem to have all of those and more covered in that beautiful creation of a knife.

Great job for a first attempt. If time includes improvement, the sky is the limit for you. Those Moasics' are better than some I have purchased from ebay. I'm working on my first one now, if only it would look as good as yours! Ron

I was too embarrassed to post my first knife but this is pretty impressive. I've seen some of the regular posters with knives around this quality and your leather work is impressive. Probably going to steal that sheath design lol, or have you make me a bigger one.

Thanks Sansy! You're welcome to "steal" my design on the sheath, or PM me if you want me to make you one.

Excellent work! I hope my tenth one looks that good!

The sheath is just outstanding. Excellent work on the pins, everything looks great.

Very nice job! You have an eye for detail & talent to boot. Anyone who takes the time to index the mosaics is OK in my book!!!

You've obviously got a great future in the custom blade craft... leatherwork, too. Very impressive, especially for a First!

Thanks for the compliments, guys. If I get time tonight I'll post up some pics of my 2nd -a small EDC/utility blade. Some interesting leatherwork to go along with that one as well.
