The crappy plastic holder that came with my Fiskars 28.5" Pro Chopping axe fell apart and I didn't see anyone out there selling a sheath for these so I made my own. It's my first real leather sheath and I don't have much experience with making them but I patterned it after the Nordic\Gransfors style axe sheaths. Was able to use scrap leather from a local hobby store to make it. Let me know what you guys think.

I think it looks great!

I'm also not a fan of the plastic holder that comes with Fiskers, although I like my Fisker Splitting Axe.

This is a very nice upgrade.

Thanks guys, much appreciated. The only sheath I tried before consisted of a folder over piece of leather with two holes punched in to hold leather laces to tie to the axe. I did cheat and had my Wetterlings sheath to copy the general idea from. I used to build and create tons of things in my grandfather's work shop as a kid and this is all bringing it back to me now. I can see how this could become addictive.

Thanks again guys. New addiction, you got that right:) Now I'm going to make a black leather version with nickel snaps and rivets and make it slightly sleeker. If anyone's interested I may put this one over in the trade section after I get done the black one, as I don't need two of'em. This will fit either the 23.5 or the 28" Pro Chopping Axes.
