My first Opinel

So what retail stores DO carry Opinels? Haven't been able to find 'em aaaaaanywhere. Heck, even at the gun and knife show, only one guy had 'em. And he was asking too much.

From what I've seen, Smoky Mountain Knifeworks ( www.eknifeworks.com ) has the best selection and lowest prices on Opinels. Check out the gift box, one of each size for $60.

I wish this 10" sucker wasn't $50:

Never heard of the Rolling Pin, and our Rite-Aids sure don't have 'em around here, but I popped over to Williams Sonoma in Lansing at lunch yesterday, and got a No8 for $12. A little more than Ragweed, until you factor shipping.

I'm quite pleased! Not sure how I'm going to end up carrying it, though.

I just received two no. 8's from Ragweed forge. I have to admit they are a very under rated knife. I wish I had discovered these little jewels years ago. I'll definitely try modifying one of them, and I just found a source for my Christmas presents this year. :)

Lavan,

Rust enhances Camembert, not gruyere. Carbon blade is THE right tactical choice about french cheeses. Don't kid about that.

I like that laughing cow stuff. Is that any particular kind of cheese, or a secret?

It's a famous cheese from Normandy, the secret is how so much french people can like it.
