A good thing to do ( and I still practice it) , is to take notes WHILE your in the bush...about what you should of brought, what you could have left home,what to improve upon, and stuff like that. I do it there while it's still fresh in my head. Over time ( and a few fun trips ) , you get to specialize your gear for yourself. I now carry about half of what I used to , and the stuff I do carry has proven itself " out there " where it counts. Glad you had a good experience on your trip and came back safe.
