And yes, the Tiny Trapper is a wee bit smaller than the Peanut, but it has two full length blades so that kind of makes up for it.

Very good choice for a first peanut. My bet is if you keep it sharp, there will not be too many times you will feel you need a bigger knife. Enjoy the ride.

The only time I felt I needed a bigger knife was Karen and I tok a loaf of fresh baked Italian bread on an outing, instead of the usual French baguette. Lucky for me, Karen had her mora sheath knife in her purse. I was embarrassed. Me, Grand High Muckba of the cult had his 'ol lady loan him a knife to go through a large loaf of bread.

mine is the single blade variation of the tiny trapper. wanting a 2 blade one though .

Congrats......I know what you're feeling.
I picked up a case yellow peanut about 10 days ago off ebay and ever since I've been on a freakin' buying spree. Can't stop. I've been selling stuff on ebay to pay for all of it but there's just no end.
Since then I scored a Small Texas Toothpick (a red one with the Made In USA badge), a sweet Mini Copperhead in Deep Canyon, a Silver Script Trapper with red jigged bone handles.
Also have a white Mini Copperlock on the way.
I have my eye on a Bradford Cutlery Goldenrod peanut just because my yellow one is lonely and needs a partner.

Ordered the Chestnut CV Peanut. Hard to make a final decision on the scales. The color reminded me of a knife my Dad had a long time ago, so that made the final choice easier
