Fellow members, it seems I need some objective opinions. I have been contacted by the buyer of my Wilson Model 4 as I had advertised here:

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=246675&highlight=wilson

I advertised IWB kydex sheath. The link to Wilson's site shows a picture of a Model 4 with a TekLok but no mention of actually including a TekLok (as far as I can tell, please correct me if I'm wrong).

Anyways...based on my ad, do you think I should dig up a TekLok to send to this gentleman?

Was my ad mis-leading in any way?

Have I done anything wrong (since the gentleman has asked me to "do the right thing and make good on it")?

Please post your opinions as you see fit. If the consensus leans towards compensating the gentleman with a TekLok then I will do so.

Update: The buyer has decided to post a thread in this forum as well:

You both seem to be gentleman as I have read both posts'. If I were the buyer I would have expected the same rig as shown. Seems you just overlooked the TeKlok but the buyer has no knowledge of this oversight. You both need to be happy. If it is convinient for you to supply the TeKLok then you should, if not you guys should discuss other options! Good luck!!! Mike

Well your post says IWB as does the site. However the pictures shows a Tek-Lok and if I were to buy it, I would probably expect the knife and sheath to look as pictured. If the lack of a Tek-Lok bugs him that much and you have the means to send one, I would say send it and consider it a lesson learned :)

Thank you gentlemen, this is good enough for me so Mr. Williams will get a TekLok.

Yes, a lesson learned is always a good thing.

Cheers!

Update: TekLok shipped April 1, 2003 via registered mail.

This is the way I like to see disputes settled...Where both folks involved can reach a settlement without hard feelings or "name-calling".:).

Please remember that good communication is the key to successful trades. If I list something for trade/sale with a picture of the item, I always mention that it is exactly like what is pictured, or if not, I list any differences between what I have and what the picture shows.
