My First Sheath. Don't laugh please!

So after some checking with Knifekits. The more I order the better the shipping.
So gonna order some .080 kydex, eyelets, proper eyelet setter etc.

I like it a lot. I like the contrast of the nickel rivets and the black. Looks very good. Like the piggyback too.

Looks perfectly good in the photos. I don't know why you would worry that it isn't perfect, especially for use with a combat/survival knife with rough finish micarta scales. If you wanted perfect you would spend big bucks to buy a nice tooled/inlaid leather sheath from an established maker, but then your knife would be out of place in it.

If you were selling kydex sheaths to picky buyers then they might nit-pick the details but for a user grade sheath the function is what is important and appearance is secondary.

So I decided to make another Sheath for my Schrade Green Beret Copy. I think this one in alot better than my first one.

Still need to finish the belt loop.

Anyway to buff the edges by hand?

Why would we laugh? Nice work and kudos for getting in there and making something for yourself instead of surrendering and settling for something that doesn't quite meet your needs or wants.

sandpaper sponge will do...but nothing beats the buffer wheel....

Thanks!

Using mostly hand tools right now.

I have a Drill, Rotary tool, Sander and Eyelet setter.

Working my way up to getting Band Saw, Drill press, Belt sander and buffing wheel. I figure I can use the Drill Press to set Eyelets when I get The knifeKits Eyelet dyes.
