Hi folks. I've been making straight knives since 97, but this is my first slipjiont and only my second folder. Looking forward to many more....
This is based on my all time favorite EDC, Case's #6249 which I've been hauling around since high school. The case has a pen blade as well. I actually had one all done for this, just kept screwing up the second spring. After making and breaking two, I set it aside for a few months. Finally last weekend I decided to finish it with just the big blade. Kind of glad I did as it is lighter in the pocket (my only complaint about the case).
Sorry about the poor pics. Its also a little scratched up as its my new EDC Hope you like it. Any comments are welcome.

Thanks for the comments. The steel is O-1. I lucked into a couple of bars of precision ground at a local steel supplier. I was there after blacksmithing stock and thought to ask. He had ordered it forever ago for somebody who never picked it up. Got it cheep!:D

Thanks guys. Hey Page. I've been good. Keeping busy. Been forging some "blacksmith knives" out of coil springs and having fun with that. Starting to work on getting my JS knives done for this spring.
How are things up your way?
