My first Sodbuster

Just wanna say thanks alot guys......now I'm going to have to go get one!

Hope you all are happy now:p

Hey Dave, seems that we're going the same road at the moment ;)
They actually sell Sodbusters over here in the Netherlands.
They were the knives my Dad and Granddad always carried.
The good ones are made by Herder Solingen and have wooden handles.
However they are thick as a brick and not very comfy in the pocket.
How are those from Case?
I might buy one in memoriam of my Dad and Gramps.
Nice pics by the way David

Hey Arend, good to see ya. Yeah I really like the Case ones. Of course, I think a lot of the stuff made in Solingen is good too. I'd grab a Case model if you can. They are about $20 give or take.

same here...i like the clean, simple nature of a sodbuster...now gotta find a vendor...

You in the US, UK, or other?

very nice!
How do you take the scales off?

Never done it. I imagine you grind off the pins. You would then have to put new scales on it and re-pin it. Well, you wouldn't have to. I guess you could put all the pieces in your pocket and take the blade out when you need it. :D
