I was sitting around one day, doodling, and drew a spearhead. It has all kinds od hooks, curves, etc., and I put it aside without thinking anything about it. I don't know how it happened, but it ended up in my shop; I just happened to look down ans there it was, so i made it. It's a chisel ground 1095 tang spearhead, about 15" long, OAL around 20". It's heavily engraved, and while I don't know if I succeded or not, is meant to suggest the spears and knives studded with shark teeth, Jaguar teeth, etc. I just made it for a lark, but it's a surprisingly effective weapon. Just though I'd share, just for the heck of it. It was fun to make.

Very cool! I have been toying with the idea of making a "yari" style spear, but my forging skills are not up to the task yet!

Thanks Leifjl. I'm going to haft it in a few days. Thanks h20oni. I'm working on my first forged socketed spear, it's a real challenge.

Nice David; you can always be counted on to push the boundary. Your not going on a primitive safari are you; if so, it will be a nice touch.

David, I always like your work. I find it inspirational.

Thanks Fred,

It's always a pleasure to hear from you. No, no safari in my future, but I am wrestling with a socketed spearhead, what a pain those are!
