My first Spyderco, Sage 1, s-o-o-o-o nice!

Yes, the Sage spydie hole is smooth. The knife just eeks of goodness at every turn.
 
Anyone handle a sage 3? I want to get a sage but can't make up my mind .. do I want 1, 2 or 3? (or maybe 1 of each ;) ) I'm liking the blue g-10 handle too. Also this will be my first spyderco

Get the sage1. Just my advice.

Sage 3 is full ambi, other two are not. Sage 3 has a closed back, others do not. If opened slightly, the Sage 3 blade will be pulled back into the handle, the other two will not. Sage 3 lock is somewhat harder to disengage than the other two. They're all attractive, although I have to admit that for pure looks the Sage 1 is still my favorite. Each has its strong points, Sage 3 wins that one for me, by being full ambi.

Congrats on your purchase of the Sage 1. It's one of my favorite Spyderco knives.
Each Sage as pictured above has the different closing feature which makes me want to own all three!
 
Don't forget, Taichung craftmen are also behing the BushcraftUK G10. They are gifted in their attention to detail and in their grinding talent.
My Sage 2 is a state of art folding workhorse and I figure the Sage 1 and 3 are from the same blood.
(Now I love my Paramillies 2 and my Manix 2 too.... too too too ! :D)
