my first spyderco - the military black blade.

Cool knives  but I personally HATE spiders! :thumbdn:

I don't necessarily like them either, but they are really cool to watch them eat and move around.
Like Joshua J said they are beautiful creature's in there own little way.

I guess some spiders are like spyderco knives in a way. They sometimes are not the prettiest thing's to look at, but they are beautiful in there own little way, and work really well for what they are designed to do.

And you guys thought I was crazy for showing this....

I guess there is just something about Millies and big arachnids.

i don't think you're crazy...a fellow weirdo, yes, but not crazy. haha.

That one looks like it would bite, and just plain looks freaky to me!

honestly, spiders, scorpions & to a lesser extent, snakes freak me out as well! i guess that's why i like having them as pets. driving fast and the eventual flashing lights behind me gets my heart pumping just as much but these guys cost me a lot less :D

Sweet pair of blades there JV3

Personally.. I hate spiders.

thanks, jake. you have good taste in blades & guns if i may say so myself

just for that thumbs down, i'll try to go to this weekend's reptile show and take home another one :D

pound for pound, spider webs are stronger than steel. they really are interesting creatures...and there's nothing like seeing a tough guy run away screaming like a little girl when i take her out for a surprise show & tell

Nice black and orange pairs. Anyone who thinks the Military is to large should just try one and find out for themselves. It really is a wonderful design and my favorite folder so far.

dude JV3, seriously you gotta swing through dallas sometime. Mountain bikes, ARs, ESEEs, Spydercos.. man we could be twins. haha. I really want to get myself a Millie and Pmil2 some day, pretty much forsaking all other folders.

haha. jake - i completely agree. i'll move to texas eventually. do you crash a lot while mountain biking? if so, then we really are twins! this pic was taken an hour after the crash. it just kept on dripping :D

definitely get the millie! the ergonomics is what really convinced me i don't need to try any other folder. i have yet to find a grip position where it's not comfortable.

Nah I'm pretty good on my bike. But I dont consider myself hard core or anything. I dont go on really extreme trails. Pretty little hole you got there.

I dont know man, i find spydercos very ascetically pleasing... but maybe its just me, a lot of my friends who are into knifes think they are too "futuristic"

edit: man those comparison shots with the 4 realy show how beastly millies are...

I also find most of them very ascetically pleasing. If I didn't, I wouldn't own so many of them. :D
