My first Spyderco

Hi fellow fans. I wasn't sure I was doing the right thing when I ordered this knife but once I had it in hand I was very impressed. My choice for my very first Spyderco was the Domino and I love the size and weight. It will go into daily carry rotation with my ZT 0770CF. They are very similar in size. The Domino flips open wonderfully, though I haven't mastered the spyder hole yet, choosing to use the flipper instead. The only thing I could think of to nit pik is, I wish the clip was a deeper style, but I can live with it. I'm afraid I may have to have another Spyderco in the near future. :thumbup:

Congrats! Nice choice, I started collecting Spydercos a few years back. Others have come and gone but I seem to have a real attachment to my Spydies.

I know. Everybody I show it too loves it and most have had or still have a Spyderco.
 
Congratulations! My first was a Delica some twelve years ago, I just received shipping confirmation for a domino I'm trading for, can't wait for it to get here, they are beautiful!
 
Spyderco is a great brand. That domino is awesome. The spyderco military is my favorite. The endura is a close second. If you like big folders check them out.

I have added a deep carry clip to only 2 Spydercos, one of which is the Domino, it does carry nicer with it and I don't find it intrusive in hand.

Once you get to carrying Spyderco more regularly the need for deep carry seems to slip into the past. Loved the deep carry clips on Kershaw when I first started getting serious about knives then got my Spyders and haven't looked back. Have actually gotten rid of some because they rode too low and no one makes a high ride clip lol
 
Got second and third Spyderco on the way. #2 actually came in yesterday Gayle Bradley, #3 Manix LW. I will add some pics later. Love the Bradley.

ho boy,this is sounding familiar! as i started this way,after my 1st spyderco the vary next week #2 following week #3,watch yourself!:eek:

Excellent first choice, and it looks like you're on your way to a prime selection!

Spend some more time with the knives and you'll realize just how many different techniques there are to master and become comfortable with using the Spyderhole!
I like to switch between middle-finger and thumb.


I put a Lynch Ti clip on my Domino.
