I bought my first Spyderco today. The Tenacious. Looked at it several times,

decided today. I've only had this knife for a couple of hours, but I love it! The look. The feel. And by George is it sharp!! I'm happy.

Good for you, congrats.

Bet it wont be your last Spyderco either:D

Remember; two is one, one is none!;)

I like your style. My first Spyderco was a black on black Tenacious with a combination edge. I still love the design. That knife convinced me to purchase a Paramilitary 2. That Paramilitary 2 convinced me to buy a Sage. That Sage put me further down the rabbit hole of awesome knives, haha. Congratulations!

They had a, what's the right word... Jumbo Tenacious, at least I think it was a Tenacious. It was huge.

I think it's called the resilience. I started with a tenacious, then went for a military and never looked back. Great choice, it's the gateway blade

The resilience yeah that's it. Huge. I do see myself going down the rabbit hole. I'm very impressed with the Tenacious. This could be the beginning of a Spyderco obsession.

good choice :) welcome to the Spyderco family. I bought 6 within the first 2 weeks of owning my first one

Good for you buddy, and yep one isn't enough. I bought one Spyderco back in 2011, just intended to get the one at the time. Now I have near twenty of them.
May I suggest you look to getting a Sharpmaker, if you do not already have one.

The Tenacious is an extremely well designed knife with decent steel for it's price. I have often felt that it is overall one of the better knives in Spyderco's line.

I can't help but feel that it would make a half way decent budget rescue knife. Take the serrated model and dress the tip with a file so that it has a blunt tip. Instant budget rescue knife.
If you loose it on a call you are not out a fortune and a half. Carry that on duty and a plain edge as your EDC. Same ergos for both knives. That would be sweet.

welcome on board, this wont be your last spyderco :D

my (small) spyderco collection in order of aquisition.

Congrats Jason ! You choose well my friend. My first Spyderco knife was the Persistence and I was so impressed, it was a mind altering experience . :)

There are worse things! Congratulations on your first "bird knife", as my wife calls them.

Hope you enjoy it and it would appear that you are satisfied with the choice. My first Spydie was the Native back when Walmart carried them. I was impressed overall and the Native is one of my favorite Spydie's. Since then, I have purchased other Spyderco folders. The Delica size is my favorite. The last was the Kiwi 4 which I really like. I was looking for a upgrade to the Cold Steel Tuff Lite with the wharncliffe/sheepsfoot blade at the time. The CS is a nice knife but could be improved on considerably.

Good buy.

I like the Tenacious alot.
Feels nice in your hand.
Liner lock and the action is as smooth as any other Spyderco.
Tough economical knife.
