Tonight I got the bug, a new bug I have rarely felt until now, THE FINISHING BUG! Went out and sort of organised things in the garage a bit and got to playin'. 3rd time I have ever made a guard on any blade and and i think it is coming out pretty good! I chain drilled the rough hole, then chiseled out the webs and started filing. I never knew it could be so much fun :) .

Thanks guys!

Burton, I left just barely 1/16th of clearance between the guard and the shoulders, so that for final fitting I can bang it extra tight. I am amazed the fit all around is so close.

Worked up a handle from zebrawood today, gotta pickup and cut some steel stock for the pomel, and will glue it all up.

Got the scales all shaped up, and they are epoxied on now and it is drying, POB is about 4 inches from the guard with just a small pommel, everything is nice and tight I am very happy with how it came out. I can't believe it is done!!!!!!!

to show I am not lyin' :D
