My first tanto

I just got done with most of my first knife blade. I did a little tanto to begin with and I'm very happy with it. I haven't put the handle on it and it needs polishing and to be sharpened and maybe a few other things I cant think of right now. But here it is.

Here are some pics, you can make out the hamon in them a little but I'm not any good at taking pics yet, working on it thou.

good job, nice 1st attempt. The only issue is that it looks like the hamon comes down to the edge in spots, thats means the edge will have soft spots.
Next time just make the area without clay come up a little higher on the blade.
 
Thanks for the tip. Chris has some better pics of the blade being worked on. I'll post those when I get them.
 
Try reducing the pics and maybe take a few more outside on a cloudy day.
Your Hamon will show better
