My first Tomahawk - Does this count

This is my first tomahawk - if it counts as one.

It is a Bridgeport Hardware Tomahawk, No 99. New in box, never used. Think they went out of business in the 50's.

Neat piece I thought. My first hawk! Well, sort of.

Thats a neat piece...a little unorthodox. I think that top prybar looking thing might mess up the throwing utility of it. IDK. Looks cool if nothing else!

I remember those. It would work mighty fine in an urban environment is my thought. Chopping, prying, and some breaching.

My understanding is that these originally were made for dealing with wooden crates (opening, reclosing...)

I ordered one from Garret Wade - wood handle and all - very disappointed that it was made in China - fit and finish were lacking to say the least. But, it is solid and was cheap enough. It rides in my CERT bag in my truck.

Tenho investido alguns dólares em machadinhas desse estilo, como vocês chamam de "machado de caixa".
Mas todos chegam ao Brasil acima de 100 dólares, por causa do frete caro.
