I came back to this thread after a long day at work and now I can't imagine this knife with a less radical and unique blade. It compliments the overall design and this is a knife I'd like to own even if others view the blade as a bit different. I think it's great and wish I could handle it to see how it feels.

As I mentioned earlier, the knife has grown on me more and more. I will likely try something "Bowie-ish" again some day.
Also Mr Connally, this knife is not yet sold :D

I like the design, but I don't think buffalo horn is the right material for a guard on a fighting knife. It looks good though.
