My first WSK??

Wow, Skunk, looks just like one of those cheap "tacticool" $9.99 Taiwan knifes on E-slay. Oh, wait a minute, you already said that. Kidding, of course. It's coming along great. Is this the project that kept you away from the Egyptian bow drill? :confused:

You know Doc, I was thinking, while making these knives...

True primitive knife making would start with having to find ore, then actually make steel, then forge a knife.
Making steel has got to be one of the highest acheivements of mankind.

We have so much steel lying around rusting, we take for granted it's importance.

I'll bet the egyptians wish they could have made their bow drills out of steel. ;)

And I guess the early steel makers were glad that somebody knew how to make a fire :rolleyes: .
