My First ZT And My Impressions

Top to bottom.

350
700
801
560

That's what I was saying earlier. The 700's handle looks so wrong, but feels so right. lol!

+1 to this! The moment I picked up a 0700 the only place it went was my pocket. Comfortable in any grip and for any cutting task. I've EDC'd mine since I got it about six months ago. I'm currently looking for a 0350 to partner with it :)

Cheers brutha! Nice decision...

The 0350 was my first ZT. And as I think about all the other ZT's that have followed it, I realize how sick I am, ha, ha. So far I have been happy with every ZT purchase. For me the 0700 is the best flipper made. It just fits me right, and the big tanto is more handy then you would think. The 0550 probably has the most pocket time, but the 0350 has probably been used harder. I don't think you can go to far wrong with any ZT. It's just a matter of personal preference.

It seems the 0350 was a lot of people's first ZT. Like I stated before, it seems the 0350 is their Griptilian. I already want the 770, this website introduces me to a lot of knives that would normally fly under my radar.

Enjoy the 350. It has become my favourite folder. I still love my Grip, but the 350 fits my hands and feels like a more substantial knife. I like it so much, that I have another without serrations on the way.

The 350 was also my first ZT. Traded it off pretty quickly, though. Felt too short in my hand and realized I'm not a big fan of recurves....or assisted opening for that matter. To each their own, though. I've owned a couple of 550s since then, which I absolutely love, and a 561 (textured titanium was uncomfortable for prolonged use). I've gotten away from overbuilt folders nowadays, but when I do carry one, it's the 550. ZT makes a quality folder for the respective price points. I've been eye ballin' an 801 for a while now. Should pick one up soon, I guess.

Lol, you know Adam their was no wrong choice between those three knives and I can understand why the Tiger stripe camo beckoned your attention.:) I'm surprised we don't see more of it in being used in many models by the best knife manufacturers. Tiger stripe camo G10 scales would be real popular imho.;)

I've not only handled them, I own them. I own a Sage I, and Gale Bradley and think they have about the best fit and finish you could expect. HOWEVER, I bought the Sage for $100 and the GB for about $150. Most of the Taiwan models (and new 2013 and 2014 models) are made in Taiwan but have pricetags of $200 +. That's a big no thanks for me. I'll keep my money in the States for that price.

Thanks. Good to know. I no longer own any tantos but I do love that blade shape so I may pick that one up.

I would daresay that those knives will have a street price lower than $200. Just saying.

I think the serrations on the 03xx's and 0200's are brilliant. They nullify the recurve sharpening problem while the recurve gives more length to the serrations and makes them bite. If I get a ZT (I REALLY want to find a ZT I like) it will be a serrated 0350 or 0200.

I hate you guys. I had to order the 0350, which I had successfully avoided until now! :)
