My first zt.

Should I get another zt or round off the mini folder collection with a para 2

I own several PM2 (5) and several ZT0562 (3).

ZT0562Ti - I vote for this because it's in another class; it puts you in Hinderer territory for much less $$$, but with damn near close fit, function and finish (some even say better, arguably). The proportions and feel in hand is wonderful. However like most ZTs (and Hinderers) it's going to be thicker behind the edge than a PM2. It'll still cut extremely well, but the PM2 will slice a little better. You can remedy this by re-profiling the edge of the 0562, which I have done;)

PM2 - I enjoy the overall size, light weight and compression lock. Good blade stock with a very acute tip. Some argue the tip is too fragile, but I find the pointy point very useful. However, I hate the shape of the handle which features a medial hump that pushes my third and fourth finger out. Lot's of Spyderco models feature this hump. Fortunately there's a custom scale maker in Russia who feels the same way about the hump as I and manufactures the most perfect hump-less CF and G10 scale upgrades. It'll cost you another $100 for the CF scales but they really do elevate the PM2. Without them I would not even consider the PM2.

Here's my ZT0562Ti with hardware mods...

...and a couple of my PM2s with the Aramis CF scales that I mentioned.

Just an update I also traded for another zt with a german lad they love them benchmades lol.
It's a 0808blk lovely knife alot lighter and smaller than the 0350.
I actually have been using the griptillian its grown on me but I love the zts .

My first ZT was an 0350. I still think it's a great way to get into ZT. Stout, fun to open and close, cuts well. Makes a racket flying into battery. I have a 0808, too. It probably sees more pocket time than the 350. Especially at work. It's a little more subdued.

I never cared for the 0350. My favorite ZTs were the 0550 & 0560; but I also still have the 0456 and 0095. If I were to buy another ZT, it would probably be the 0470.

Moving to Spyderco - I'm another one that isn't crazy about the PM2... but it's much better with aftermarket scales. My two favorite Spyderco knives were the Advocate and the Mantra 2 (both discontinued, I believe). I still have a Military, Manix2, and PM2...I probably carry a PM2 as much as the other two combined (honestly, maybe 2-3 times/year).

If it's within your budget, the TRM Atom is worth considering. So is the Hogue Ritter (RSK MK1-G2).

I love ZTs as well, but I've been carrying my Super Freek and Shaman almost exclusively lately. They can handle just about anything you throw at them. The Shaman feels like a ZT as built by Sal Glesser!

I really like the 0808 for EDC. Perfect size for me to carry and great action after a bit of flipping to slick it up.
