I find my 3" non-flipper slicer to be my best all round carry knife of all my various knives. I prefer the looks of the Spanto, though.

Congrats on a classic Hinderer! And be glad you got black instead of camo. The camo looks great, but it's not as grippy. I ended taking it off my EDC even though I like the color.

You will love it. I have other knives just as smooth but nothing compares to the way my XM feels in hand and I believe my wrist would break before the knife would even start to give in a hard use situation.
