My GEC Moose 661211

LOL ~P :D

Yeah, I'm not the greatest at getting photos taken, for the vast majority I pressed my wife into shooting them quickly one Saturday morning. Quickly so there wasn't a count taken... ;-)

As for the etches, I don't really care one way or another about the Tidioute brand and some of the more over the top ones by GEC (ie: the script Calf Roper), but I do like the Northfield on many of them including Bullwinkle. For those I use a Tuf-Cloth to keep the blade with the factory finish and still be able to use them.

A couple of my Tidioute's etchings have disappeared under patina, I should take a current photo of my Montana whittler especially. The patina is so dark it's completely covered the etch. Maybe after the semester is over and I'm not spending every daylight hour doing homework <bang head>

I have to thank Alfredo, not only for the gorgeous pictures of his beautiful knife and beautiful countryside, but also for starting this thread. His and Charlie's pictures pushed me over the edge in my desire to own this pattern in this particular bone.

When Charlie contacted me with an offer to sell one he had laid back, I wanted it, but had no knife $. So, I put a few up for sale, and now I have my own version of this lovely knife.

I have long admired the blood red bone, but when I saw this jigging pattern, I was hooked!

I like that jigging a lot guys, looks great. It's definitely different from mine, though my moose is from an earlier production run and Bullwinkle is hiding on the other side of the spear blade.
Of all my GECs, I think it might get the most pocket time, it appeals to me that much.
