I was really hoping the Remicade would help her.

Prednisone is really hard to come down off of. It has to be done slowly...really slowly. If done too quickly it's more likely symptoms will return.

I don't know what meds she is on but there are a bunch of them that are effective...most of the time you just have to find the right combination.

I would be very leary of this Molo-cure or of anything similar. The site is one giant commercial. It has a lot of inconsistancies. On one hand it is supposed to fight yeast and have anti-biotic tendencies yet is said to promote flora in the intestines. Dude! What do you think "flora" is!? No scientificlly done double blind tests have been done on this product...why not? Note: $180 per bottle (one month supply)!! This is an aloe vera extract for goodness sake. It's a weed..and it costs more than most prescribed meds!?

If you still think it has potential print it out and take it to your doctor. Ask questions...Has he heard about it? Why or why not?

I'm truly sorry for your young one. I've dealt with this disease for 27 years. I've grown up with it and found a loving partner who understands the problems it presents.

Most important is the simple human touch. Hug her when you can, let her know you are there to help her. It means the world to know you have someone at your side.

I really wish I could help...Good thoughts and wishes from the west coast.

I really wish I could even do that, but with the kids living in Florida and us in Oklahoma even a hug is impossible. It's hell to be so helpless and really hell to be so far away!!!!

Thanks for all the info and smoke and prayers!!!!

Best of luck to you and your granddaughter. I'll say a prayer for her.

Hey, I think I spelled your name right this time. :)

yvsa my friend give the mola a try at $180 a months treatment it is a small price to pay if it works, less than one good fancy khuk.
aloe vera is a well known world wide plant that relieves many symptoms of medical problems.
and if as it says is concentrated and refined , i can well believe the claims attributed to it..YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOOSE AND ALL TO GAIN.
as you know many plant remidies have been used successfully for centuries.in fact many many modern medicines are from old plant remidies. I KNOW ALOE VERA TO BE AN EXCELLENT SOURCE OF HEALING PROPERTIES. so my advice yvsa give it a go.:)

I'm so sorry to hear that your little granddaughter is once again suffering Edutsi:(

I don't even know from which faith I'm sending prayers anymore but you can bet they are going out--or at least all the good will and compassion I can possibly send.

Best wishes and peace,

Rob

Heard from Stella today, not good news.:( Jessica is going to have to remain in the hospital for a time. Thankfully she can afford to lose a little weight. Jessica ate well today but blood was found in her stool which hadn't appeared this time until today.
They have two IVs in her and are going to put in a central line in her neck probably tomorrow to take their place.
I'm hopeful but worried and concerned. Jessica pulled out of her flare the last time, but the medicines that helped pull her out aren't working this time.
She entered this flare taking 40 mgs of prednisone a day. That's a lot of steroids for a twelve year old!!!!:(
I have a love/hate relationship with prednisone as I know what it did to me on a long term basis and Jessica is so young to have to deal with such powerful medicines on a long term prescription.
Pred can wreck your bones, joints, eyes and also affects other parts of the body, but it can make you feel wonderful while doing it.:(
