My Granddaughter's "knife"

Thats one of the cutest pics I have ever seen. I wish my daughter would like knives like that. I have bought her 2 and she is 13 and just wont carry them.

Thanks Guys -

I checked into the plastic SAK - that one has a spoon etc - cute, but I think Emily is more interested in having the clip-on like mine.

I also checked into the SAK for kids - that one has a rounded end on the blade, but is still sharpened, so that would be out.

What would really be a seller, I think, would be a Spyderco or Kershaw design, especially for kids - with a pocket clip, some sort of easy to use frame or liner lock, and a blunt-tip, no-edge blade.

A knife like that would be just the ticket for kids like Emily, who want to imitate grandpa or dad, but are not old enough for a sharp edge.

Thank you all for the replies - glad you enjoyed the picture - you know how proud grandpa's are. :D

No worries, they'll straighten her out when she gets to elementary school and confiscate that dangerous weapon she is carrying...

;-)

On a nicer note, that is a great pic and story. I spent a few minutes explaining knives and knife safety to my 2 1/2 year old the other day (using a Spyderco Bug). I figured it was time to start getting her to understand.

Regards,

Rich

Hi lambertiana -

That is exactly what I would like to find, but when I click the link it just shows product not found.

I will peruse the spyderco catalog and see if I can find what you are referencing - thanks so much!

Don`t buy it! When my daughter had weapon retention training, I made her one from an old Delica. Just say the word and it`s yours.

Hi Stomper -

Very generous of you, as usual!

I will take it from you with thanks - we can wait and you can include it with my Knatchet. I'll find some way to pay you back for your kindness.

I`ll send it next week with the Knatchet. You`ve already paid me back many times over.

I have to say that was one of the most heart warming things Ive seen on the internet. Congratulations on your Granddaughter. My daughter is 9 and I lover her more than anything...she loves knives too.

Hi folks -

Stomper sent me the Delica he mentioned in a post above in the package along with my Knatchet, as a gift for my granddaughter.

I thought you might like to see pictures of her with it. She loves it, and she had it with her the whole time she was here last weekend.

Haha, simply adorable!! Thanks for brightening my day a little :) I am keeping my knives as well so some day I can pass them along to any kids I spawn. Still 21 though so hopefully that is a long way to go.

That is just wonderful! Kudos to Stomper for that nice gesture.

Now I hope your granddaughter doesn't freak some lady at the grocery store with it. :)

You guys are kiling me! Those are beautiful pics. You are truly blessed. The wife and I are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our first Granchild this coming March. We can't wait!
