My Greatest Knifemaking Achievement!

Hey guys, I thought I'd show you my first liner lock finally built. I spent the past couple of days hard at work on this and everything turned out real nice. I've been so excited about this project that I haven't been able to sleep much since I started it. I'd wake up in the middle of the night and my mind would still be at work. Anyway, this has been my greatest knifemaking achievement so far. I'd like to hear opinions on the design of this knife. The blade is 3 1/2", O1 steel, titanium liners, G10 scales. I can't wait to start on the next one but first I have to hopefully get some sleep! Thanks for looking. :)

That. Is. STUNNING!

I envision a heap of emails coming your way, my friend.

I recall your nessmuk folders you made a while ago and I loved the look even if I wasn't so keen on the nessmuk style. When you mentioned that you were working on a folder I hoped you would use one of your sleeker blade shapes...and you did it! There's a lot of tolerances to work out, but that one looks super clean with good position of the locking piece on the blade. Lots of room for wear over the years. Also, I've heard that titanium isn't all that easy to machine. Yours looks great.

Congrats!

very nice work Ray!

I hope this doesn't take too much tiime away from your fixed blade work :D

Ray,

You do realize that there are tons of knife users out there that have been clamoring for more options in locking folders with carbon steel blades. You just blew their collective minds.

That is AWESOME.

I handled this knife and the lock-up and action were amazing!!! I couldn't stop opening it and closing it. If I was going to pick a folding knife for a BOB or a hike... this would be it!

Ray,

I can't tell you how many folders I have passed up because I just plain don't like the performance of the steel. I personally want to see more carbon steels in folders :D

Excellent work and execution. It definitely has the laconico look of class, but obviously something entirely new.

I can't wait to see more.

Ray great work!!!

Now does that mean that you will be making some of those nessmuck locking folders????

Real slick Ray. The lock-up looks nice and tight. Really attractive in the orange with the satin blade as well.
