My Greatest Knifemaking Achievement!

WWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Ray that is some awesome work!!!!!!!!!!

how thick is the blade??

That is a great looking knife. The orange G10 is what i think make the knife.

Ray, your work is incredible and getting better. That looks fantastic.

As someone that has sharpened a lot of knives with thumb studs, I very much like that you put the stud back on the ricasso, so that's it's well out of the way of the edge. Makes it so much easier when you don't have to worry about hitting the stud.

It's very appealing visually, though it doesn't appeal to my personal tastes-I'm simply not a big fan of modern folders for the most part.

From what I can see in the photos, everything looks approximately perfect. Excellent execution!

cuphead, the blade is 1/8" thick.

Thanks a lot guys for the comments. I didn't expect my first one to come out this nice. I was hoping for it to just work. I was really thrilled at how nicely it works and looks pretty good too. I just have a few adjustments for the next one. I could have made the blade 1/4" longer or the handle 1/4" shorter. I could have also moved the grind back 1/8" to give that much more cutting edge. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better outcome.

Ooops! I appologize.. I just read the new sticky about makers posting knives.. I haven't been around here lately. I'm not trying to advertise or sell. I was just proud of the knife and wanted to show it off. If it violates the rules, please remove it. Thanks.

I dropped by Ray's place tonight with my son to check this one out. If his very first liner lock is this high quality, with more practice his linerlocks will be simply mind-blowing. Ray did a great job on this one.

My son has a blaze orange handled fixed blade from Ray, and he thinks this would be a wonderful companion for it.

Now Ray needs to get some sleep, he has been working overtime on this one.

i like the simple lines and the high carbon. looks well put together. this is a must buy for me...im impressed!

That is a beautiful knife. You should give some thought to making a locking version of the gorgeous Nesmuk Slipjoint you posted in the maker's for sale forum. I really love the look of that one.

looks good - one of my favorite blade shapes and I like the full size grips and relatively thin/flat look. Looks like it will feel good in the hand but not be too bulky for pocket carry.

That is absolutely fantastic!!! I love the titanium and g-10, should make for nice light knife that would apeal to backpackers.
Personally I would like to see a slightly shorter and narrower(hight wise not thickness) handle, but for your first, that looks fantastic!!! I wish I could get ahold of it to handle it. Maybe you should make another one and do a passaround...

Ps wait till mike, Russ, and Nate see this thread. We were just talking about your work tonight, and how we were looking forward to seeing how your folders come out.
