My gun case project - figured some of ya might like it

The movie sucks, but it has a few good scenes. Someone has a guitar case filled with high powered weapons with a fake guitar cover. I've used instrument cases, violin cases, and guitar cases to transport firearms before. They are really not intended to transport a lot of weight. Your setup should work fairly well just for carrying it back and forth to the car in front of the neighbors (brilliant idea, BTW). Just don't plan on adding more than a very minimal amount of ammo to that case. The weak point will probably be the carry handle, although you probably don't need to reinforce it unless you plan on carrying it for a mile or so. That foam will help a lot. Nice work.

I'm not going to carry ammo in it probably, just my safety glasses and ear plugs in the extra spot I left in it. Thanks for the advice!

Doing what? carrying my guns around how I please? I have my concealed weapons permit so I'm just considering it a version of concealed carry. correct me if I'm wrong.
OK , I was just asking, please don't open your guitar case on me ...;)
I live in a country where a lot of people are carrying firearms in public , whether if because they are in active military service or just have a license to do so (not easy to get such a license ,btw) , and as far as I know there is no "concealed carry" issue . However , there is security personnel that will check your baggage literally everywhere , and when they will find firearms , even licensed , in a guitar case , sirens are going to scream in a matter of seconds.
I was just curious, not intending touching any gun carrying rights .

No problemo... 2AM - I guess you are tired... 10AM here ...

legally speaking, your rifle is not a concealable weapon so your good, and your handgun is covered by your concealed handgun license (CHL) not Concealed weapons license/permit, so your still good to go. it's weird here, we can own and carry switchblades and stilletos as long as they are carried openly, like a pocket clip. Oregon state law has nothing in it about knife blade length restrictions either. Just don't get caught with a knife carried concealed.

Oh yeah and the case is tits.

thank you, also, I can't carry my bk9 in my backpack then?

if the cop thinks its a weapon then no, If he thinks it a tool then yes. it's discretionaryand sorta depends on how much of a jack ass he wants to be. welcome to the O.R.S.

Sometimes I see things that, though I think they are super cool, make me glad that I live in Texas, where no such subterfuge is necessary. It's rare, but a treat, and I think something along these lines would be too much fun to pass up anyway. Now I just need to think of a much, much bigger instrument (little help?) :P.

That's pretty slick.

Yeah, you might want to watch Desperado. You're sure to get a lot of comments.

Get dolled up like Selma Hayek, carry that puppy into some dive bar ... they'll be diving for cover (LOL)

Serious - good job. Like it.

Here you go Ayrica. Personally, i think its a great movie! Mindless action en masse...a classic!

ive got a DEWALT sawzall case with almost the same treatment...always wanted to do a guitar case though...sweet job!

That's sweet. Could you have wrapped the guns in aluminun foil and pressed them into the foam while it was still wet?
