I'm new to the board. I've been reading it off and on for a long time; there's no shortage of knowledge and information that I read on here to help me make decisions in my purchases. Below is a pic of the folders that are in my rotation. I've had the Adamas for 2-3 years and it was my only quality folder until I bought the other three recently for need to have a little variation in size. I believe the ZT 0303 will be my last big bulky hard use folder I need. Between that and the Adamas, I can't see myself needing anything else. I have developed a sickness that I read about on here a lot, but I'm in the wrong profession to be addicted to buying quality knives. The reason I got into good steel is because my boy used to make fun of me for carrying a cheap gerber paraframe. I can attest to the Adamas being an absolute workhorse. I've put it through some abuse over last few years: pried hooks out of bass, lot of metal contact cutting zip ties off chain link fences, dropped it on asphalt, etc. It's a beast.
Anyway, being a teacher/football coach limits me to 1-2 good knives a year. I think before I get another folder, I want a nice fixed in the 4-5" range. Was looking at the ESEE 4 but not sure about wanting to put a patina on there. I've never done it or had to. Just wanted to introduce myself. Hopefully I attached the pic correctly. If not, I'm S.O.L. I tried using the imgur way.
After my 3rd edit, I can't seem to get the pic to show up on the thread. Any help?
