My humble BUSSE collection

Sorry, I was hopping not to derail the thread. No big mystery.

I liked the grey coating and it came down to red canvas and black paper. (Simple economics, couldn't afford g10 on an educators salary) I've had both canvas and paper on previous purchases on other brands. I liked the paper for medium grip. Loved the way it looked.

It does (or they, rather, do) look fantastic, that's for sure. I don't have any paper micarta. Linen, yes. Canvas? Oh yeah. But I don't have any experience with paper micarta.

I love how paper micarta looks, but it has zero grip if it's smooth.

I've had a couple knives with it that were so slick that I had to modify a little just to get some grip.

This is a Greco Companion. Note the lines in the scales.

I doubt I'd have a problem with any Busse in paper micarta since all of the scales are machined for great grip.

My personal favorite is canvas micarta just for the grip it has.

I'll take a picture of my very modest Busse collection this weekend and post it. I've had tons of them in the past, but I'm only up to a grand total of 4 these days.

Victory! Thanks Beef!!

Great pics guys. I dig the tanker/black paper combo as well, one to keep in mind for the next MBC :D
