Should I take the RC-4 or the HEST? I think i'll take the RC-4.

I'd go for the RC-4. I don't know why, but I don't really like the HEST that much. It's a bit too small to be a heavy user. The RC4 is very versatile.
 
Deer in south mississippi. Its a 1941 finnish m39 mosin nagan. It replaced my 30-06 and my 3030 only thing is its 52" long and a lil heavier that the others. I wouldn't have scoped it but the guy I got it from had already modified it for a rail and scope. It shoots like a champ, groups 1"moa @ over 100 yards.
 
I would take the RC4 and HEST, leaving the Rat 1 at the house. But I'm weird like that.
 
The rat 1 is always in my right pocket even when I carry one of my RATs. I'm going to retire it when the izula folder is released.
 
What you huntin? Whitetail deer? I broke my RC4 in the other weekend.

that x54R is a good round.
 
I'd go with the rc 4, and In used to have an m44 mosin nagant, I used it deer hunting and it worked out great!!!!!
 
don't worry - when he's old enough for sleepovers, you might get some sack time.
