My hunting crew

That's a good looking MN bro. Who did your bent bolt handle conversion, or did you order one already done? I've been thinking about doing a bent handle conversion on my M44, but I struggle with whether I want to scope it or leave it in collector condition. I'm a big fan of surplus battle rifles. I've been shooting them for as long as I can remember. I prefer them over the newer hunting bolt actions, mostly just because I like knowing that I'm using a rifle that old that has seen so much. My deer rifle these days is a scoped Lee Enfield No.1 MkIII. Big time thumbs up to your hunting rifle brotha!

The guy I got it from did the mods. Its the most accurate gun I have, highly impressed with it thats why I now use it as my primary hunting rifle. The shells are extremely cheap $55 per 120 shells and that lasts awhile. I may have left it as a collector if it was up to me but I'm glad he modified it because its awesome to hunt with.

What shells are you using? I like the Russian stuff. It seems a little cleaner and like you're talking about, you can get it in the giant sardine cans. The Hungarian rounds didn't seem as good to me.

You use the same cheap rounds for hunting? I've got a 91/30 (bit long and heavy for hunting probably :P ) and 440 rounds of Bulgarian surplus. But I need a couple little parts before I can shoot it.

You should try carrying that Enfield up into the stand. Jesus that things an anchor. lol

RC-4, the Izula and the Benchmade Mini-Barrage are all I carry for blades when I hunt. Oh, and my Leatherman Xti
