From hunting camp. This is my old hunting wagon with it's big game hoist. 78 Wagoneer. I like to get my monies worth

Yes. Thats been our deer camp since 1962. That's the year they quit using it for school.

I will see if I have any more shots of the old Jeep. If not I can do some tomorrow.

Looks like a place where a guy can really kick back and enjoy himself, kind of a "forget all your troubles" kind of place. Very nice setup you got there

Neat idea on the hoist, and that's a cool truck, and hunting shack. I wish a couple of those schoolhouses were still standing near home, I would love to have one as a getaway cabin.

I can move the hoist up or down by moving the pin. One pin holds it in the receiver. I can swing the hind end of the deer up on top of the grill guard and drive at highway speed. It does draw some attention though if you go through town.:D I can put it in any 2 inch receiver. The hoist will lift a big deer or small elk, Like up to 500 lbs.

Right behind the old school you drop down into the Cheyenne River breaks. It's awful rough country but the breaks run up onto the hay and grain fields. The mulies are thicker than flies.

Ain't gettin' your monies worth out of a gallon of gas, are ya?:D:p

Great rig. I've been hunting for a Cherokee with a small lift for a while. The prices are right. Its the 66 mile round trip to work and back that keeps me in my little gas meiser.

Lucky for me the gas price dropped like a rock about the time we went hunting. It's 389 miles from where I live to my hunting camp. We have to stay up here until the wife retires but we get down to our small farm for hunting season and usually once or twice at other times of the year. I have had this Wagon since about 1995, My cousin bought it almost new. I rebuilt the engine about a year ago. I love that old Quadratrac. That lift just slips in a receiver on the under side of the grill guard or in the back receiver. I think we had about 100.00 in it but the steel price has dropped lately too. I have a electric winch for it but it turns so easy that I didn't put it on this year.

Very cool! I like the old Wagoneers, and that does look like a great place for the "Mancation".;)
