My Introduction and advice please..

Mostly edc and lots of cardboard cutting and garden use. Thanks in advance everybody!

spyderco gayle bradley would be a great choice for cutting lots of cardboard and garden use. the only draw back is that the blade is not stainless.

Any pics? I have decided to pull the trigger and order tonight. Last min suggestions?

the para2 and military are both excellent knives. the military has a 1/2" more blade and a 1/2" more handle.

ok, so i lied last night.. didnt end up ordering anything afterall. :( I seem to be not having much luck on finding the deals that you guys in the forums seem to be saying the Para2 can be purchased at. Anyone have any help on what some good retailers online might be?? im not sure if its ok to purchase retailer links on the forum but feel free to PM me. Im really interested but money is a bit tight.

and just like before, any last minute suggestions or help that might sway my decision in another direction??

what is the most you can spend?

which model buck vantage do you have?

do you have any size or weight restrictions?

Would like to stay right at the 100 mark. Buck vantage is the large sandvik steel model. And size needs to be under the 4in blade length law here. I seem to favor the larger side of the spectrum... Can't seem to find the para2 anywhere for the sub_100 mark that people seem to talk about.. But I'm open to other suggestions as well!

google search "spyderco para 2" and use google's shopping feature. you should be able to find a para2 right around $100.

also take a look at the kershaw junkyard dog 2 composite blade. it will run you about $70-$80.

thanks for the help fellas! Im the proud new owner of the Para 2. Well, its on its way at least.. :) thanks for all the input.
i am also gonna look into the JYD 2 composite because that knife seems quite interesting as well..

UPDATE AND ANOTHER QUESTION:
so im at the 3 week mark with my PM2 and i have to say that all of you hit the nail on the freaking head with this recommendation! this blade hasn't left my pocket.. i open my knife/flashlight drawer to try and give my other blades some carry time and i just cant seem to do it! lol.. none of my other blades are even seeing daylight any more. I cant believe the quality, ergos and pure utility of this blade!

so i have another question for you all, I carry my PM2 in my right side back pocket and im looking for a smaller companion carry for my right side front.. considering a Dragonfly 2 and i want your suggestions if you wouldn't mind.. comparable size? light weight? doesnt have to be Spyderco either, however i do seem to really like what ive been seeing from them.

all help and suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

An Enlan EL-02 is a very nice

knife. And you won't mind using it in the garden because it is so inexpensive. A zero tolerance 0200 is also a nice knife at about your price.

Since the second knife will be supplementing an already very capable knife, I'd recommend something more "public friendly". An Opinel for example.
Are you consider any multitools?

I'll be more specific.

Opinels: No. 6, 7, or 8. I own the No. 6, and I've used it in a college building lobby/study area to cut up food during lunch hour. Nobody cared or stared. Imagine going into a similar setting with a PM2. Oh, and it is so lightweight.

Multitool: Leatherman Style CS. It's the thinnest MT I've handled, no more than a quarter inch thick. Plenty of functions though.

Never gave the style much credit.. Always thought of it as gimmicky.. I will definitely have to give it some more consideration and research
