My Izula bit me!

It doesn't need stitches luckily, the skin 'flap' just needs to stay in place for a few days. This morning i good already see the wire like stuff growing between the severed piece of skin and base. Had to pull it back a bit for the photo's, it gave a bit of stingy feeling though. Everything in the name of good entertainment!

I highly recommend this stuff for knife enthusiasts. Stings a bit, but cleans out the cut and is like a band aid if band aids weren't completely worthless. I cut my thumb real deep wrapping my Izula when I first got it, and this stuff had me fishing and swimming without worry in a matter of 2 days.

well if only you had been wearing your esee survival panties it wouldn't have cut you. just a warning to all, you must be prepared!

Oh terrific, thanks for a lovely mental image. That's gonna stick in my head for a long time (much to my regret).

basb, I feel ya... welcome to the club. :D. I agree a patch with bloody mandibles would be cool. Like a dummy badge

Yes.. The Izula can get hungry at times when you least expect it! By the way... The Advanced ESEE Survival Kit contains gauze w/ Haemostatic Clotting Agent, suturing material & a needle.;)

The advanced/advanced kit comes with new thumbs too.:)

Photo's i took 30 minutes ago. 2.5 days after slicing up the thumb.

As seen in pic 2 and 3 its all in perfect place. I know from previous experiences(and there are a lot :) )that i'm a fast healer but never had a wound heal up so fast and so nice.
Spare thumb not needed :D

Stiptic powder. Burns like a mother but it will stop that bleeding asap. Believe me when I tell you it hurts though.

In addition I can tell you right now you need to let that thumb out for some air. The tissue around the cut is starting to turn white because it needs to breathe :)

Did a nice job healing, looking a touch infected (is that just scarring though? can't tell) but seems to have healed darn fast!

Has anyone considered the "Heat Wave" we are having. All these "bites" remind me of the movie "Predator"

Quote snip ""El Diablo cazador de hombres." Only in the hottest years this happens. And this year, it grows hot." "El cazador trofeo de los hombres" means the demon who makes trophies of men.

Izulas bite when they think they are the alpha entity and feel threatened. You have to make the Izula know who's boss and it won't bite.

I let it breathe however it popped open yesterday and bled like hell again.
But still it looks good, still sensitive though. Maybe indeed be a bit infected but it doesnt hurt like hell. Not so strange on my work there's is oil, ink, paper dust, petreoleum.
Most of the red is gone now and it all stays in place pretty good.

I have a certain lack of respect for authority myself and prefer to treat the ant as an equal.
It probably going through puberty now.

Too bad your thumb doesn't have the same warranty as the knife!:D

You could just send it back and get a new one.......just saying!:D

I don't like that stuff at all....have dry skin and my fingers always split, tried this stuff......it don't work for me at all.

My wife came home from work the other day. After I kissed her, she stepped back, and noticed the band aid on my right finger.
She smiled, and said "what new knife did you buy today?"

Sadly, she knows me only too well. That very day, I received two brand new, and very sharp ESEE -5 knives.
