I was taking my izula out of its sheath to cut the safety seal from some Ben and Jerry's and i guess i wasn't holding my sheath properly and the blade slid right down the tip of my thumb. I now have a nice bubble of blood underneath the superglue i used to close the wound.

The iced cream was delicious though, Vanilla Heath Bar Crunch.

The Izula is the most dangerous of all. I've finally got my finger healing up after my 4 stitches from my Izula bite 3 weeks ago or so.

If your Izula won't eat its ice cream I'd be happy to make it disappear. :p

Dudes.. Half Baked is where it's at.

I was at a ben and jerrys ice cream shop and got an "adicted to chocolate" shake. It was a mixture of 3 different ice cream flavors of theirs... Chocolate, Chocolate Fudge Brownie (chocolate, fudge, and brownies) & Chocolate Therapy (chocolate ice cream, chocolate cookies, chocolate pudding).

I thought I was gunna die.... but it was friggin awesome.

You better send it to me so I can make it work very hard with mine for being a bad little knife. :grumpy: :D

well put another izula attack in the pile. I just got back from the doc with 5 new stitches. was tying a some hi viz orange 550 cord on the handle, and was snuging up the knot at the end of the handle and she jumped out of the sheath and bit me. pics coming up soon. doc was impressed with how clean the cut was.

Just as a piece of advice for everyone, I have found the best way to wrap a handle and not lop off a finger is by placing ducktape on the blade. That way it cant cut you, no matter what you do. Just throwing it out there.

yeah we need pics since you kept the bandages on at dinner! the izula looked good though. might have you snag me some roadbike tubes when i get one.

This is exactly what happened to me, but I got away with 4.

I have to thank you guys for this thread. You have convinced me to put the blade in a vice before trying to wrap a handle. I realize the initial cut is so fast there is not much pain -- at first. It's the pain from making mistakes with that stitched wound that bothers me. I think I'll just try to avoid that.

I hope you heal quickly. Thanks for sharing.

At least put it in its sheath. I have only wrapped one handle, and cut myself doing it as well.
