My Izula doesn't like iced cream.

I was taking my izula out of its sheath to cut the safety seal from some Ben and Jerry's and i guess i wasn't holding my sheath properly and the blade slid right down the tip of my thumb. I now have a nice bubble of blood underneath the superglue i used to close the wound.

The iced cream was delicious though, Vanilla Heath Bar Crunch.

When my HEST bit me I had a weird bubble that dried outside the skin, wound up being the artery (oops) Wouldn't have even guessed it had I not gone in for stitches, chances are it would have ruptured outside of the skin with some nasty results.

ugh, that's horrible. i've just got a little slit, a bit deep but just a clean slit.

well put another izula attack in the pile. I just got back from the doc with 5 new stitches. was tying a some hi viz orange 550 cord on the handle, and was snuging up the knot at the end of the handle and she jumped out of the sheath and bit me. pics coming up soon. doc was impressed with how clean the cut was.

June was a bad month - doing the same damn thing. Tightening the cord wrap (3rd Izula w/o a hitch) and the dam thing shot straight up and out of the sheath spinning in the air and I thought it cut my thumb in half.

Bleeding like a stuck pig, I put two high pressure bandaids over it as they filled with blood. Later on I took off the band aids, rinsed with peroxide, dried and slapped more band aids on it. The next day the cut line was so perfectly matched that I didn't mess with it.

Two weeks and into the end of June, the cut was sealed but tender and had a numb spot. Now, August, the nerve endings found each other and I can't even see a scar. Dodged a bullet on this one. Damn Izula is still sitting here /12 wrapped.

Tape the blade! My scar is a little tingly but I've got full range of motion and my shooting didn't suffer so I'm happy. :D

That's exactly what I thought while my thumb was healing. Tape that sucker off with tin foil backed by duck tape or blunt the darn thing and resharpen. :)
