Here are some pictures that I had my girlfriend take for me. Shes taken an interest to my photography hobby so I asked her to do the honors. I also need a name for it. She wants to name it "biggen" so when shes in earshot ill call it that. I need a manlier name! Someone mentioned warrior. Keep the names

Wow. That one looks great! The combination of a thin blade, comfy handle, and a practical sheath will no doubt make it an awesome belt knife for hiking. Gorgeous wood, too.

All the best,

pitdog is right!! John's knives are meant to be used

Get that knife of yours dirty and stained.:D I will look even nicer.

Great looking knife.
I love the scales, I really think my february knife will have to have some similar ones.

Ive had issues with chipping in the past with other fixed blades chopping and such. Just makes me nervous to use it how i want. And that steel is so hard! I use a sharpmaker to sharpen, so damage will be difficult to fix. What can they take and what can't they take?

I read that one a while ago. Does anyone here use a sharpmaker to sharpen? How easy is it to get from dull to sharp on it?

I use a Sharpmaker on my Nexus (renamed "The Deacon" by my daughter.

After pounding it through some red oak and into the driveway by accident, the Sharpmaker brought it back to shaving sharp with minimal effort.

If this one has the same edge geometry, it will work quite well.

how did that tip hold up with the driveway? I guess my issue is the best steel i've had was 154cm from benchmade on my griptilian. I've had edges chip not enormous but enough to cause a pain in my side. I have fixed more tips than i can count, i'm good at it! Never had to really care for a knife as far as rusting.

My edge is a normal 40* bevel and 30* edge i believe. I sharpened it on the sharpmaker already. It seemed to take a while. Maybe it was just me?

And you know, I keep losing what people tell me about care. So, what do you guys recommend for 01 tool steel care? How much should I care for it? And the maple burl handles? What do I do for them? And sheath care?
