• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

My Journeyman Smiths perfomance test Day

yeah buddy! Well deserved my friend

Congrats, Bill. No surprise to me, or anybody who has one of your knives.

Danbo said it right. The surprise for many is that you weren't already a MS. Way to go Bill.

WOW, thank you all for all the wonderful congradulations and comments.
Maybe and hopefully in time I'll be lucky enough to join the ranks of those that have already made it to the final JS and then the MS rankings, but there's still a long ways to go. This was just the first step of many, but to be honest it does feel pretty darn good to get this far, it fuels the fire to keep striving to improve from one knife to the next even more then I could have imagined. Don't get me wrong, I think all of us try to improve with each and every knife, but it does fuel the fire more when your being judged by some of the best.

Thank you all again, a maker couldn't ask for a better bunch of people for support, guidance and encouragement.

Bill

Fantastic job Bill!! Your knives are just amazing. Once again, congrats on the passing of the test.

Congratulations Bill!!!!! :D

I think you described perfectly how I felt when I did that dang test too! :D

I'm happy for 'ya buddy!

Yep.

And let's face it, even if you're confident that you can make a knife that will pass the test, it's a nice little boost to actually do so and be formally recognized for it. Not to mention that it always amazes the non knife people - and many potential first-time buyers - to learn that you can make a knife do all that.

Thanks again everyone, I really do appreciate all your nice comments.

Nick, I knew that you was heading to Blade this next June so I wanted to go too so you could buy me that cold Beer. On second throught that could be a big mistake, if they judge my knives after yours, you'll have the bar raised so high I won't have a chance. I hope they make you wait until last. :D

Thank again,

Bill

Great Job Bill.....Had no doubts that you would pass...

Wait till you set those knives on the table at Blade...No matter how prepared you are and how many people tell you that you will pass, once that door closes you lose all control of your nerves:D makes the words "YOU PASSED" sound even sweeter though.

Again, congrats and good luck on the Judging.
Bruce
