I had these done by the end of March but I only showed these to a few before the show, because I was afraid it might put the hex on me and I didn't need anymore worries then I already had. I was told by a couple other makes that had taken the JS tests before and passed to keep things simple and clean so thats just what I tried to do. Thanks Ron, Craig and J. your advise was right on.
Man I'm glad thats over. All were 52100, hand rubbed to 2500 and then 1000 grit satin finished.

Bill

Awesome looking knives. There was no doubt you had it made! Congratulations!

Most of us knew you had little to worry about, Bill. :)

Those are some nice looking knives, Bubba.

Congratulations,
No question, you where a shoe in. Your knives are outstanding!

Soooo...........Any of those going to be available? I assume they have found homes already? :)

Super looking Blades Bill  Congratulations on the stamp too  ;) After having known you for a few years I still can't believe you don't have your MS. Your work looks like you should have it and has for quite some time :)

Congratulations Bill ! Very well deserved. I can only aspire to be able to produce as quality a blade as you can someday and try for a JS. I predict a bare minimum of 5 years down the road, probably more =P

Great work Bill. I walked the floor at Blade for two days and I don't know how I missed seeing you.

Congrats.......... Job well done.

Robert

Bill, I had not doubts about you. I think you could have submitted any 5 of your knives and gotten the same results without having to make these special ones. Glad to have finally gotten to meet you and your wife!

Thanks everyone for all the kind words. I never once throught I had this in the bag, matter of fact Thursday night I checked the knives over to make sure they didn't get stratched during travel, and waxed them twice. I went to bed about 11 slept 2 hrs. and got up and started checking them again, at 4 in the morning I was sanding on a butt cap because the handle had shrunk a tad and you could feel a slight difference. I'm so glad this is behind me, but my wife is more so. I was about to drive the poor woman insane. :D :D

Kelly, I still have them all, I haven't decided what I'm going to do with them yet. Wife wants me to hang on to them for a while, but I'm open for suggestions.

David, wow, thank you for the high endorsement, very flattering for sure. Maybe in a couple years I can try for that MS stamp, but I don't even want to think about that yet, I'm still trying to get the nerves settled down.:)

Robert, I'm sorry I missed you also, but its not hard to miss anyone in that place, my head was like an owls, constantly spinning looking at knives, materials, for different people. I wish we could have stayed all 3 days instead of having to leave mid day Saturday.

Thank you,

Bill

Hey Ray, it was really great to meet you, sorry I never got to buy you that beer. Whats this I hear about you picking up 2 awards, very cool.
Your work was fantastic.

Bill

Those are fantastic Bill and congrats!!! I've got 2 of your blades and if these are even 1/2 what the two I have are there is no doubt about your quality.

As others have said... well done and Congratulations!!!

Congratulations man! From what I've seen of your work (and what your JS knives look like), you more than deserve it.

As far as what to do with your knives goes, I'd have to agree with your wife. While not quite as important as your first knife (I managed to lose mine  ), those are a certainly knivs that show an important step.

Congrats again!

Congratulations! You certainly deserved it.

Any chance of better pics of the individual knives? They look really clean
and well designed in the group shot but the details are hard to make out.

You never did get me a beer. What a friend. :D I had the two awards from the OKCA Show on my table and I think Kerry just got excited and thought they were from the Blade Show. No new awards for me. I'm just glad I still had the shirt on my back when I got home.
