I know what you should get next Jai, a Bura folder. I think he only made one so far, but maybe you can special order one. You could carry a HI with you where ever you go then. :thumbup:


What you could also do is get a janawar. That would really add a big kukri to your collection.

... and, there's an HI janawar for sale right now in the exchange. Pricy, but hey. If you're gonna collect these things seriously, you must have one of each.

Imagine the collective goodwill that is intrinsically a part of these blades; made by hand by poor yet honest and hardworking artisans.... transported to you by the internet and of one man's vision for helping people help themselves. There is a little bit of inherent good in each one. Collect a whole bunch of them and you have much more than a pile of knives...

nice collection. soon it will be mine ;)

speaking folders... good project for someone:

take a kerambit or a 9 inch BDC, remove the handles, clean, eyeball, and turn that bad boy into a frame lock folder variant :) imagine how many fun and rare khurkis would suddenly appear for trade for it :) repeat ;)

(he mumbles quietly to himself while he corners the kerambit market ;>)

its mighty tempting and i almost buckled several times...
but hoghead really needs to keep a one of a kind piece like that in his collection :D

Here you go Jai, the Bura folder with antler slabs I think. Yes HI makes a Janawar, while rare, I think you can still get one though a special order. I think the janawars are around 39 - 40" if I recall correctly.

Also if you go to my photo albium on PhotoBucket you can see some more rare HI. I only have a few listed so far, but I have about 30 or so more yet to download. Here is my photobucket account. sorry the pics suck.... my apt. is so small its hard to stand somewhere and take a pic lol. it really doesnt look like 40+ does it? :confused:
all the khuks reside on the couch for now till i get rid of my fish tanks and provide them with appropriate storage hehe :thumbup: :D
