  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

My killer chihuahua!

That's awesome, good on the little fella, gives me hope that Snicker ( my JRT ) might catch something one day !

Maisy caught a squirrel when we lived in England. I think she thought it was toy because it sqeaked each time she bit down slightly, I didn't want her to kill it so tried to get her to drop it but she thought it was all a game and kept dodging me and making this poor squirrel squeak. Eventually she must have bit down a little too hard and I heard a crack, I thought well that can't be good so then told her to kill it, a quick shake and it was history !

Bucket of warm water
cup or two of peroxide
capful of liquid soap

careful around the eyes

works real well

I think that's pretty much what we ended up using a couple times, peroxide and lemon juice, not sure of the mix ratio.

This thread makes me realize how much dogs rule. I love getting out in the woods with my dog, even if she is a bit of an idiot at times:)

yea good times when you can take the dogs out in the woods for a walk:thumbup:

I think those fiesty little dudes make the best squirrel dogs .I had a large aeirdale that could run down squirrels no problem and my wolf shepherd came with in a hair of catching a deer but I was able to shout him off.

Little dogs have HUGE hearts! I have a min pin and she is a rabbit catching fool...so much so i have scolded her recently... has killed 3 in the past week... :D

Ivan, now that is a cool dog!

My late best pal Brizbane (Aussie cattle dog mix) once proudly brought me back his trophy, a very dead grey squirrel.

When he dropped it at my feet I told him "good boy" and made a big fuss over him.

When I examined it closely I found that the squirrel was flat as a pancake from having been run over by a car.

He would play jokes like that on me all the time.

Nice score little fella

I have trained my dog not to hunt, it leads to too many problems what with city traffic :grumpy:

I wish I had taken pics when Maisy decided to round up a heard of sheep, she worked them just like a trained sheepdog and got them all into a corner of the field....I was more concerned with getting her away before the farmer came out with his shotgun than taking pics though !!!!
